Rapido Trains
Cars of VIA - Volume 2 Heritage Fleet

book
2nd in a series
An outstanding rail photo album! Gathered by CN and CP from various sources, VIA Rail's heritage fleet was understandably varied and offered a wide gamut of accommodations to the travelling public. This is the story of that motley fleet, which incorporated pretty much every type of passenger accommodation ever devised in North America. Gone were CN's black & grey and CP's silver & action red. Canadian passenger trains were now distinctively blue & yellow! The history of VIA Rail Canada's inherited passenger fleet will no longer be a mystery shrouded in the mist of misinformation. Never before, such an effort was made to document each of the different types of cars, including new colour floor plans. This book features plenty of pictures of both interior and exterior of every type of car during each car's history as practicable, as well as a comprehensive roster of every ca's whereabouts and disposition, including a detailed specification sheet. A must for every serious enthusiast or Canadian passenger car historian!

Credit Valley Railway 30th Anniversary Project
Diesels To The Bruce

A Quarter Century of Canadian Pacific Lines Through Orangeville
1970-1995
book
by Ralph Beaumont
Canadian Pacific's beloved lines radiating from Orangeville, were southern Ontario's quintessential rural branch line railways. Author Ralph Beaumont spent many years recording action on these lines, which included the main line from Streetsville through Orangeville to Owen Sound, along with its rural branches to Elora, Teeswater and Walkerton. Diesels to the Bruce is Ralph's personal tribute to this now sadly departed railway - produced in partnership with Credit Valley Railway Company of Mississauga as part of our 30th anniversary celebrations. The book is available exclusively through Credit Valley Railway, and only a limited run of 500 copies have been printed.
